YMCA North Staffordshire

More than 1500 people use YMCA North Staffordshire every month from a wide customer base – young people, families, children, community groups, sports teams, vulnerable adults, youth clubs, business meetings and art classes because they find support and encouragement here. We are a place where young people, families and our communities can get access to services and resources that will help them develop a better future for themselves and others.

206 young people were provided with a home every night and 100 low-income families with food, toiletries and other essentials each week.

YMCA North Staffordshire has provided young people in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire with an opportunity to develop and realise their potential since 1851. Today, it works with young men and women regardless of race, religion, culture, faith and those of none.

YMCA North Staffordshire provides accommodation to young people aged 16-25, who have been at risk of, or have experienced homelessness. This is a key pillar of our support in Stoke-on-Trent.

Young people are provided with not  just a roof over their heads, but also a programme of support to allow them to build their skills and confidence, in order to progress to their own independent living.

The right start in life is crucial for a person's long-term development. It is for this reason that YMCA North Staffordshire works with people from birth through to adulthood – supporting individuals and families to flourish. Every family should have the support they need to develop and lead more fulfilling lives.

The Quatrefoil Giving Fund has committed to 3 years of unrestricted funding to help YMCA North Staffordshire develop young people and support communities.
